Mya~ Owned by The Nichols Family of Lansing. Mya is the "main mare" on the property. She is a retired pleasure show horse who loves trail riding. She is amazing with the kids.

River, owned by Colline Cheltenham of Lansing, has become the best trail riding/ kids horse on the property. She absolutley loves her "job"!

"Honey", a 13 year old paint that has been on the property since she was 3, is the cutest mare. Honey is owned by Laurel, but leased by the Buchanan family for their daughter, Laken. In the picture: Honey, Laurel, and Laken at the 20254 Blessing of the Animals at a local church. :)

"Willow", owned by Colline Cheltenham, is a Dun QH mare who is as equally sweet as she is sassy! :) Willow has become one of the main Pal Hope horses who is amazing at her job!

"Phinny", the cute little mare from Kentucky, is owned by Wendy Nichols. Phinny is working on being a pleasure show horse, a trail horse, and a kid horse. Pictured: Phinny with one of the Pal Hope kids during picture day!

"Joey", owned by Laurel Greene, leased by Natalya Hurley, is the "Kid" of the herd. He is the most playful of the bunch! Joey has been here since he was a year and a half old. He is now 5.

"Austin", the old man of the herd, is owned by The Tobias Family of Lansing. Austin is a retired jumper who absolutely LOVES the water.

"Rocky", the gentle giant of the herd, is owned by Jay Greene. Rescued as a 6 month hold, Rocky has been here the longest of all the horses. Rocky is now 13 and very loved by everyone he meets! He is the "boss man!"

"Vegas" You would not believe Vegas was as feral as a wild cat just 2 years ago! Now, she is the most loving horse on the property! She really wants to know what everyone is doing at all times!

"Roami" , owned by the Redfield Family, is the sweetest OTTB (Off the track thoroughbred) ever! She loves her chill, new life! Pictured here, Roami gets brushed by a Pal Hope participant. "Spoiled" should be her name! :)

"Dreamer", owned by Kim Reiter, is a rescue Arabian. We all agreed that we have never seen a horse love to be around children as much as Dreamer. Dreamer needs special care, as he has a bad eye. Kim takes very good care of him. After the 2025 season, Dreamer moved to North Dakota with Kim to live out his spoiled years. :)

Our horses are kept up to date on their hoof care. They receive trims every 5-6 weeks year round by J.A. Horseshoeing Service. If needed they receive shoes.

Our horses receive all veterinary care to keep them up to date on all vaccines, and any other service they require. We use the services of Saginaw Valley Equine, Farm and Pet Veterinary Service, and Alcona Veterinary Clinic. The horses are all up to date on teeth floating, vaccines, lameness exams, chiropractic service, and deeper hoof care.

The Pal Hope horses are fed the best quality of feed. We currently use Tribute Kalm-n-ez, Purina smart feed (low sugar ), Farriers Formula , Alph-alpha soaked, First cutting dry quality hay, ulcer guard, and are wormed every 2 months.
Each horse has their own feed routine depending on his or her needs.

I am certain Sonny was sent from the heavens to heal my soul.

The memory of how Sonny made me feel is what inspires me today.
